Jennifer Blackwell - Local News
I’ve been in the crazy radio business for over 18 years now! I’ve lived in Yuma since
1993 and have had the pleasure of working for the same boss man (Keith Lewis) for over
15 of those. I’ve co-hosted a morning show, hosted a nighttime rock show, produced
many interview segments, and just had my hands in many areas of the industry. I am
the News Director for Outlaw Country KCYK and our sister station, Z93. I’ve been married to my
sweetheart, Jeff, since 1994 and we have a terrific son, Jace, who is 11.
There’s never a dull moment in the Blackwell house! We also have two rescued kitties
we got from the Humane Society of Yuma in 2006 (Leelou and Rodimus). In my free time
(HA! What is THAT?) I enjoy photography, scrapbooking and reading. I was born and
raised in Safford, Arizona, and most of my family still resides there, so I get
to make the occasional trek back to visit and enjoy the beautiful scenery that
Mount Graham provides. I am a huge comedian and love laughing – if I happen to
answer the phone at the station I often get accused of being in a good mood!
Have a great day and drop me an email:
